12.3kW Solar Panel Installation in Nanaimo BC

This Nanaimo family says their motivation for going solar was primarily an environmental one. “We were pretty effected by the 2018 Climate Report [put out by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change], so we decided we needed to take some action,” they explain.

They were aware going into the purchase that the return on investment would not be instantaneous, but they were okay with that and felt strongly about doing something to help reduce the climate crisis.

It doesn’t hurt that their 32 panel, 12.3kW system also helps to reduce their energy bills and offset the cost of their electric vehicles. And solar panels are not the only way in which this family reduces their carbon footprint. They have installed a heat pump in their home, they recycle as much as possible, and they have upgraded all their windows and doors to make their home as energy efficient as possible. In a nutshell, they feel that the installation of solar panels on their home was just another way in which they are doing their part.
