We are so excited that BC Hydro is making solar and energy storage more accessible for everyone. They have always been a world leader when it comes to their vision of a reliable, sustainable clean energy future, and this is another great example of their willingness to act.
For the first time, BC Hydro will provide rebates for the installation of rooftop solar and battery storage systems, making it easier for individuals and businesses to generate their own electricity, reduce energy bills, and contribute clean energy back to the province’s electricity grid. Eligible homeowners can receive BC Hydro rebates totalling up to $10,000 for installing a qualified solar photovoltaic (PV) system and or battery storage system. BC Hydro will also roll out targeted rebates to apartment buildings, small businesses, social housing providers, and Indigenous communities, ranging from $50,000 to $150,000 based on individual customer needs.
