Contest Period
The contest begins at 12:00 a.m. PT on September 8, 2026, and closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on December 18, 2026.
How to Enter
Automatic Entry
Receive one (1) automatic entry when you:
- Sign a contract with Shift Energy Group Inc. during the Contest Period for any qualifying residential solar or Building-Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) installation with a minimum system size of 4 kW.
- Pay the required project deposit to Shift Energy Group Inc. no later than December 31, 2026.*
*Design Exception: Customers whose qualifying project has been submitted for system design by December 18, 2026, will remain eligible if their final design/proposal is delivered after the Contest Period, provided they sign their final agreement and pay the required project deposit within fourteen (14) days of receiving their final proposal.
Quotes older than 60 days will require updated pricing before an agreement can be signed.
Limit one (1) automatic entry per qualifying household.
Prize
One (1) winner will receive The Ultimate Home Energy Upgrade, including:
- One refurbished Tesla Powerwall 2
- One Sense Home Energy Monitor
- One Level 2 EV Charger (model selected by Shift Energy Group Inc.)
- One Tesla Backup Gateway
- One Load Management System
- Professional installation by Shift Energy Group Inc.
- Up to $750 toward drywall repair required as a direct result of the prize installation
Approximate retail value: $25,000.
Prize is non-transferable and has no cash value. Installation is subject to the winner’s property being suitable for the equipment and installation requirements.
No Purchase Necessary Entry
To enter without making a purchase, mail a handwritten letter including:
- Full name, Mailing address, Phone number, Email address, A handwritten response of at least 100 words answering:
“What would energy independence mean to you and your family?”

Mail-in entries must be received by December 31, 2026.
Limit one (1) mail-in entry per household.
Winner Selection
One eligible entry will be selected by random draw in January 2027.
To be declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.
If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not meet the contest requirements, or the property is not suitable for installation of the prize equipment, another eligible entrant may be selected.
Eligibility
Open to legal residents of Canada who are 19 years of age or older.
Employees of Shift Energy Group Inc. and their immediate family members are not eligible.
For automatic entry, the qualifying project must meet the minimum residential 4 kW system size requirement, and the required project deposit must be received by Shift Energy Group Inc. no later than December 31, 2026.
General
By entering, participants agree to these Contest Rules and consent to Shift Energy Group Inc. announcing the winner’s name and community for promotional purposes.
Shift Energy Group Inc. reserves the right to substitute any prize component with an item of equal or greater value should the advertised component become unavailable.
