How it works
What makes BIPV different
BIPV combines roofing and solar into one system. Solar cells are built directly into metal roofing panels, so there’s no need for separate mounting hardware on top of your roof. The installation is similar to a standard metal roof, with the electrical components tying directly into your homes power system.
Why BIPV
A roof that pays for itself.
BIPV delivers a sleek black metal roof that generates electricity to offset your energy costs. You get superior weather protection and power generation in one attractive system.
The advantages of a BIPV solar roof
Long-term value
Enjoy the strength of a premium metal roof with integrated solar—one project, two upgrades, and the potential to apply available solar incentives for extra savings.
Smart investment
Turn a home expense into a smart investment that pays for itself by generating clean energy.
Lower power bills
Lower or eliminate your monthly energy bills and reduce your reliance on the grid.
Built for Canadian conditions
Designed to withstand extreme conditions, these panels operate from -40°C to +85°C, resist Class 4 hail, and carry a Class A fire rating—built tough to perform reliably for decades.
Trusted performance
Every panel comes with a 10-year workmanship warranty and a 30-year limited power guarantee, giving you confidence that your investment is protected for the long term.
Enhanced aesthetics
Sleek, powerful, and designed to fit your roof. The Medium panel delivers 140 W in a compact 16” × 67.8” profile, while the Large panel offers 190 W in a streamlined 16” × 89.7” design—perfect for modern, efficient roofs.

BIPV systems typically come at a modest premium—about 10–15%—compared to installing a premium 24-gauge metal roof and a traditional solar array separately. That investment brings together your roof and solar into a single, integrated system that delivers clean energy, durability, and a streamlined aesthetic. Because every home and energy profile is unique, a custom design ensures the right balance of performance, appearance, and long-term value.
