4.62kW Solar Panel Installation in Victoria BC

This Victoria couple waited 10 years, believe it or not, for the right time to install a solar system on their home. And the right time happened to be after their 2019 purchase of an electric vehicle and subsequent membership with an EV club. Through conversations with other members, they were pointed in the direction of Shift. But that wasn’t the end of the story. First they phoned other companies on Vancouver Island. “But not once did any of them call back,” they told us.

However, when they did eventually call Shift, they were pleasantly surprised that not only were they called right back, but someone showed up the next day to measure and begin putting a quote together.

And they couldn’t be happier with their 12 panel, 4.62kW system. “Our last bill was phenomenal compared to last year,” they say. And not only that, but the capital cost in terms of installing a system, they report, has dropped by 50 per cent in the last 10 years.

"We are VERY happy with Shift and the solar system installed at our home mid-October /19. Shift was the only company which responded to our e-enquiries about residential solar systems and we were immediately impressed with their responsiveness to, and patience with, our questions. Once we provided our hydro history and received a prospective system recommendation from Tim Grandjean, we decided to move forward and arranged an in-home appointment. Tim met with us, explained what was involved with the system recommended, how it would be installed and then checked the roof to ensure the placement of solar panels as initially proposed. Once that step was completed, it was a matter of weeks before installation - the only delay was waiting for the actual panels. Installation took a day and a half by knowledgeable installers. Just got our hydro bill yesterday and already a difference in our usage- no cost for our EV now!"
