BC’s Largest rooftop Solar array is now on the new LuLuLemon distribution centre in Delta, as the international brand embraces renewable energy

Shift Energy Group Inc. (“Shift”) was contracted by Wesgroup Properties and lululemon to develop and construct the largest rooftop solar array in British Columbia.

This remarkable array, shaped like the lululemon logo, consists of 2592 panels with a capacity of 1.2 MW. It is estimated to generate 1,087,943 kWh of energy annually, equivalent to powering nearly 100 homes for a year. The solar array will supply power to the building’s mechanical panel, reducing the reliance on electricity from the grid.

“We owe immense gratitude to lululemon for their visionary commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Having a forward-thinking tenant like lululemon, who shares our dedication to sustainability and is willing to invest in projects that expand the renewable energy supply within the community, made this project possible,” expressed Malcolm Shield, Vice-President of Sustainability at Wesgroup.
