Shift Energy Group Awarded Exterior LED Lighting Contract with Ivanhoe Cambridge

Shift Energy Group Inc “Shift” announced today that it has received a contract to retrofit the exterior lighting at Ivanhoe Cambridge’s Woodgrove Centre location.

The lighting upgrade will replace all existing high pressure sodium high-mast fixtures with high output LED’s. As well, decorative post-top fixtures, wall-pack fixtures and entrance pot lighting will also be retrofitted to LED technology. Shift has designed a solution to maximize a consistent light output across the parking lot surfaces while limiting light pollution into neighbouring property and city streets.

In addition to the lighting upgrade, Shift will provide an advanced lighting control solution allowing point and click scheduling, dimming and metering capabilities. “This will allow Ivanhoe to schedule individual sections of the parking surface to meet the needs of individual CRU’s” said Shift Company President Colyn Strong. The result will be increased energy savings, enhanced security lighting and better understanding of total costs associated with tenant spaces.

Overall it is expected that exterior lighting consumption will be reduced by almost 70% while providing increased illumination and enhanced quality.
